THE LIBRARY’S Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 1st, with a 4pm for 4.30 start. It will be followed by a buffet and refreshments.

This year the Library will be saying goodbye and a huge thank you to Brian Arnold, who steps down after six years as a very productive President. We would also like to extend our thanks to Brian’s wife Linda for the help and support she has given him and the Library. We wish them all the best in the future.

Next up in our popular series of talks sees a new speaker take the spotlight in the form of Ramón Michán, a retired hotelier.

His talk, entitled Puerto de la Cruz: Birthplace of Tourism in Spain, is on Thursday, February 15, starting at 12 noon. It will be followed by a buffet and refreshments, all for €8 a head. As usual, please book at the Treasurer’s Desk.

Winner of the star prize in our Grand Christmas Raffle, an Amazon Fire tablet, was Ian Craig. We would like to take this opportunity of thanking all those who bought tickets for your generous support.

The LIbrary welcomes visitors to join us during our opening hours Monday and Friday 3pm to 5.30pm and Wednesday and Saturday 10pm to 1pm. Refreshments are served in the garden on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
