LIBRARY SUBSCRIPTIONS for the 2017/2018 subscription year are now due and we are happy to report that for the fourth year running there is no increase in fees.

The Film Club will be showing The Zookeeper’s Wife on Thursday, October 26. Refreshments and ice creams available during the intermission. We will be open from 1.30pm with lights down at 2pm.

Plans are being made for a Garden Party to celebrate the platinum wedding anniversary of the Queen and Prince Phillip on Thursday, November 23, starting 1.30 for 2pm. Seventy years of marriage is a wonderful achievement and we intend to mark the occasion in suitable style. More details nearer the time.

We have opened bookings for one of our most popular events of the year, the Library Christmas Lunch. Places always go quickly so the advice is “book now” at the Treasurer’s Desk to avoid disappointment. The cost is €16 per head and the lunch will be at the Masaru in La Paz on Thursday, December 14 with a 1pm for 1.30pm start.

While on the subject of Christmas, any donations of prizes for our Annual Christmas Raffle would be gratefully received. It is our most important fund raiser of the year.

The Library welcomes visitors to join us during our opening hours Mondays and Fridays 3pm to 5.30 pm and Wednesday and on Saturdays 10pm to 1pm. Refreshments are served in the garden on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
