Chillers, thrillers and killers vye for your attention

STALWARTS OF THE crime genre occupy pride of place in the latest of the new titles making their way on to the Library shelves this month. British writer Sophie Hannah’s offering is a psychological chiller, American Patricia Cornwell has her popular character Dr Kay Scarpetta facing a race against time, while Danielle Steele offers a romantic slant to her latest tale of mystery.

More big-name offerings

THE LATEST CROP of books added to the Library shelves include titles from three of the most prolific pens of the 20th and 21st centuries. The books of Wilbur Smith, James Patterson and the much-loved Maeve Binchy, who sadly died back in 2012, have collectively sold close on half a billion copies worldwide.

Deighton thriller added to shelves

Join us on a literary world tour

En route, our tour will take in the unique and beautiful city of Venice for a bit of soul searching, before moving on for an odyssey in Greece, courtesy of the imaginative writings of Victoria Hislop.
